Ropeway to Bhairo Mandir
The Vaishno Devi ropeway (gondola) runs between Bhawan and Bhairo Mandir and back. It is an optional service for pilgrims who wish to visit Bhairo Mandir without the steep uphill walk. Tickets must be booked — either online through the Shrine Board portal or at the offline counter at Bhawan from 6:00 AM.

Children Policy
Infants/Children below 3 years of age will be allowed to travel free and equivalent to the number of pilgrims. Passengers must produce valid age proof for children at the entry gate.

Carry a valid ID proof along with your booking confirmation.
Reach the boarding point at least 15 minutes before your slot time.
Ropeway service booking is required for pilgrims of age 3 years and above only.

Heavy luggage is not allowed in the Ropeway car. Only hand baggage is permitted.
The ticket once booked is non-transferable and non-refundable. Yatra registration with an RFID card is mandatory for availing Ropeway facility.

Tickets will be valid for only two hours after check-in at Manokamna Bhawan.
Queues are often long and take up to 45 minutes to reach the Ropeway car after purchasing tickets.
Online ticket holders can skip the queue for buying offline tickets and save time.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
No Refund on No-Show
There is no refund in case of no show or absence of pilgrims.
Full Refund Exception
Full amount (excluding deductions if any) shall be refunded only in case of cancellation of Ropeway operations due to bad weather/technical reasons at the sole discretion of the Shrine Board.
Online Cancellation Policy
Online bookings are not fully refundable in case of cancellation.

How to Book Ropeway — Step by Step

Open Portal →Select "Ropeway" Service
After login, go to Facilities → Ropeway. Route is Bhawan (Sanjichhat) → Bhairo Mandir (one-way, 3 min).
Pick Date & Tickets
Select your Yatra date. Ropeway fare ₹100 one-way. Book in advance — very high demand in Navratri & peak season.
Pay & Show e-Ticket
Pay online and save your e-ticket. Show at the Ropeway gate. Offline tokens also available at Bhawan counter.
