Helicopter Service at Vaishno Devi
The Shrine Board helicopter service is the fastest way to reach Mata Vaishno Devi. It operates between Katra and the Sanjhi Chhat / Panchi helipads near Bhawan, and also from Jammu Airport for the premium all-inclusive package. All flights are regulated and operated only by the official Shrine Board.

The following items are strictly prohibited on all helicopter flights operated by the Shrine Board. Passengers carrying these items will not be allowed to board.

Explosive Materials, Gas Cylinders (e.g., Blasting Caps, Dynamite, Fireworks, Plastic Explosives, Scuba Tanks).
Flammable or Radioactive materials like Fuel, Gasoline, Paint Thinner, Copra, etc.
Poisonous or Corrosive Materials like Pesticides, Acids, Chlorine, Bleach, Tear Gas, Mercury, etc.
Infectious Substances like bacteria or virus samples.
Power Banks / Batteries or Plastic Explosives.
Guns, Ammunitions, Firearms, Starter Pistols, etc.
Any tools or Magnets like Hammer, Drilling Machine, Saw, Wrenches, Scissors, Forks, etc.
Sporting Goods like Cricket Bat, Golf Kit, Ski Pole, Hockey Stick, Spear Gun, etc.

Rules & Important Instructions
Helicopter Service booking is required for pilgrims of age 2 years and above.
The details once submitted at the time of Booking will not be modified, and changes to Service Dates / Pilgrim Details will not be entertained once the Booking is completed.
Infants/Children below 2 years of age will be allowed to travel free (to be carried in lap) and equivalent to the number of Pilgrims.
Cancellation Rules
Online tickets booked through Shrine Board's website shall be cancelled through Online Mode only.
Request for cancellation of Online tickets through any mode shall not be entertained in any manner other than Online cancellation.
Approaching any of Shrine Counters of SMVDSB by presenting physical tickets, writing e-Mails etc. shall not be entertained under any circumstances.
For Round trip tickets cancellation will be considered for the entire route - partial cancellation of the route will not be entertained.
Cancellation will not be allowed if the number of Free children is greater than the Paid Pilgrims - post cancellation
The cancellation can be made up to (and not after) 02 days before the scheduled date of travel.
70% of the amount shall be refunded to the Yatris as per the above timelines,the remaining 30% of the amount for the booked ticket shall accrue to the Shrine Board as processing charges.
The refund shall be made by the Shrine Board within 15 working days and reimbursed online to the original mode of payment.
