Deva Mai Mandir is a revered temple near Katra, Jammu and Kashmir, and is closely associated with the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage. It is traditionally considered the second darshan after Kol Kandoli Temple.
🌸 Significance of Deva Mai Mandir
According to legend, Mata Vaishno Devi spent time at Deva Mai in the form of a young girl, blessing devotees and performing penance. It is believed that she later transformed into a divine idol at this site.
📍 Location & Access
Located around 4 km before Katra on the Jammu-Katra road.
A 3.5 km diversion leads to the temple from the main road.
Easily accessible via taxis and autos from Katra.
Best Time to visit the temple is from 6 am to 7 pm, as the area is a thick forest.
Auto/taxi fare is around 600 Rs for going and coming back.
